Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs, 2013 (APIP 2013), is a data collection that is part of the Accredited Postsceondary Institutions and Programs (APIP) program; program data is available since 2011 at . APIP 2013 (https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/index.aspx) is a cross-sectional data collection that queries the the universe of 61 recognized accrediting agencies about their accrediting behaviors. The data collection is conducted using a web-based entry system where accrediting agencies may submit information electronically. Both recognized accrediting agencies and state approval agencies were sampled. Key statistics produced from this study are on the number of accredited institutions and programs, the types of accreditation, and the accreditation process.
