This dataset contains oceanographic data collected within the waters of Hawaii and in international waters in the vicinity of the Musicians Seamounts chain, specifically up to 650 nautical miles north of Hawaii. Operations for this cruise include focused mapping operations and strategic mapping transits, and included the use of the ship’s high-bandwidth satellite connection for hourly data transfer and real-time ship to shore communications. Data acquisition from shipboard sensors includes navigation data, meteorological data (wind, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure), and oceanographic data (thermosalinograph, remote temperature probe, sound velocity probe, bathythermograph).
